Where Untamed Zambia Unfolds
In the remote reaches of northern Zambia, 30 kilometres or 19 miles from the Kafue National Park, the crystal clear waters of the Lunga River flow through forests, grasslands and plains. They are the lifeforce of a thriving ecosystem that will thrill the soul of any wildlife enthusiast
This fully fenced 30,000-hectare wonderland is the tranquil, intimate Lolelunga Private Reserve. It is a testament to the beauty and biodiversity of the natural world when it is allowed to flourish, boasting over 340 bird species, elephant, buffalo, countless antelope, healthy aquatic life, a growing population of cheetah, and the endangered pangolin.

Perfectly positioned on the banks of the Lunga River, it can accommodate 14 guests and offers an intimate safari experience.
The owners of Lolelunga committed to restoring the delicate ecosystem and creating a fully fenced sanctuary for nature to thrive.
Lolelunga has taken hands with the rural communities, providing jobs, skills, agricultural support and entrepreneurial initiatives like beekeeping to replace income previously gained by illegal logging, poaching or fishing.

As a fully fenced reserve, Lolelunga is a haven for wildlife to thrive.
As the vegetation recovered, indigenous wildlife was slowly reintroduced, starting with impala, puku, bushbuck, red lechwe, eland, kudu, zebra, roan antelope, sable, buffalo, and giraffe. This was followed by predators such as lions and cheetahs. Poaching has been replaced by high-value, low-impact tourism that offers guests unparalleled wildlife experiences. Game drives and walking safaris offer guests a total immersion into the captivating world of nature.

The Lunga River is once again home to crocodiles, monitors, otters and hippo, which you can view on a river cruise. It is also teeming with fish. Catch and release fishing provides an ethical thrill as you try your luck hooking a big one.
A visit to Lolelunga is more than an unparalleled African safari; it is conscious travel in action and a celebration of a trailblazing conservation success story.
